Here you can find information about when and where you can vote. Remember to bring your ID.
Early voting
You can vote from the 1st of July until 8th August in any municipality if you are unable to vote during the regular advance voting period or on election day.
In Øygarden, early voting can be done at the library (innbyggjartorg) at Sartor Storsenter within normal opening hours (Mon-Wed, and Fri: 10.00 – 16.00, Thurs: 12.00-19.00).
Advance voting
You can vote in advance in any municipality from 11th August up until and including 5th September.
In Øygarden, advance voting can be done at the three libraries (innbyggjartorg) at Sartor Storsenter (in “the library garden /bibliotekshagen” at 2nd floor), Sund senter, and Rong senter. It is also possible to vote in advance at health institutions and high schools at certain dates.

Voting from home
If you are ill or disabled, you can apply to vote from home. Apply to vote from home by calling 56 16 00 00.
You must apply by 4 September 2025, at 12:00.
Voting on election day
The election day is 8 September. On election day you must vote in the municipality you were registered as a resident as of 30 June.
You can vote at anyof the 12 polling stations in Øygarden between 09:00 and 21:00.
Well in advance of the election day, more information about the polling stations will be published at valg.no.
Bring your ID when you vote
You must show identification when you go to vote. As a minimum, the identification must contain your name, date of birth and a photo. Examples of valid identification include a passport, driving licence or bank card with your photo.
Guidance
When you arrive at a polling station you will be met by an election worker. Election workers can explain the voting process and can answer any questions you might have regarding voting.
